Kienan Scott Commits to Colby College

Smoke Eater, Kienan Scott, has committed to NCAA Division 3 Colby College for the 2016/17 season.  The Colby Mules Men’s Hockey team plays in the New England Small College Athletic Conference, (NESCAC).  Founded in 1813, Colby is the 12th oldest private liberal arts college in the country and is located in Waterville, Maine.  The College has an enrollment of 1850 students.

“Although we would have liked to see him back, he is going to a school he desires and sees a good fit”, quoted Smoke Eater Assistant Coach, Curtis Toneff.  Scott becomes the 7th Smoke Eater to receive a scholarship for the 16/17 hockey season.  In two full seasons with the Smoke Eaters, Kienan played in 106 games, collecting 39 goals and 23 assists for a total of 62 points.  Many of Kienan’s 24 goals last season came at critical times in the game.

Kienan commented, “I’d like to thank the community of Trail, my coaches, my teammates and my billet family for making my time in Trail so memorable.”   “I’m excited for a fresh start at Colby College and to receive an outstanding education.”  “I plan on majoring in Economics.”  “I wish the Smokies  good luck in the upcoming season.”  “I’ll miss the community, but moving on was the right decision for me.”

The Smoke Eater organization wishes Kienan good luck at Colby College and thanks him for his dedication to the Smoke Eaters.
