Trail, British Columbia (December 10, 2025) — The Trail Smoke Eaters are proud to announce the promotion of Bryan Kromm to Assistant General Manager, Associate Coach and Director of Player & Skill Development.
Kromm has been a vital part of the Trail Smoke Eaters organization, previously serving as Assistant Coach and Director of Player Development. In his expanded role, he will take on additional leadership responsibilities both on and off the ice, supporting the growth of players within the Trail Smoke Eaters program and across the greater Trail hockey community.
As Assistant General Manager, Kromm will assist General Manager and Head Coach, Eric Thurston, with roster management, player recruitment, and team operations, helping guide the long-term vision of the organization. In his continued coaching role, he will contribute to player development, team systems, and skill progression, working closely with the other coaching staff to enhance individual and team performance.
In addition to his duties with the Trail Smoke Eaters, Kromm will lead the City of Trail and surrounding communities in skill development programming, including youth skill camps, spring and summer hockey development, and partnerships with local minor hockey. His leadership will play a key role in growing the game in the region and fostering a strong connection between the Trail Smoke Eaters and the community.
