Smoke Eaters Add Nebraska-Omaha Commit Zach Michaelis for 2021
Trail, British Columbia (June 23rd, 2021) – The Trail Smoke Eaters are excited to announce the signing of forward Zach Michaelis for the 2021/22 BCHL season.
Michaelis, 19, from Elk River, Minnesota has committed to the Smoke Eaters for the 2021/22 BCHL season after completing his season in the NAHL. He split the season between the USHL and the NAHL. Prior to this season Michaelis was a standout forward for his High school team of Elk River High, where he was the captain and scored 48 points in 25 games. Over his entire High school career Michaelis scored 144 points in 75 games.

Zach will provide high level speed and pace to the lineup. He is a competitive player that will add to the teams overall depth & experience, says GM/Head Coach Tim Fragle.
The Smoke Eaters are excited to welcome Zach and his family to Trail and look forward to him joining the team in the fall ahead of the 2021/22 BCHL season.
