Trail, British Columbia (June 22nd, 2021) – The Trail Smoke Eaters are excited to announce the newest recruit ahead of the 2021 BCHL season in Calgary born defenceman Ethan Warrener.

Warrener, an 18-year-old, left shot defenceman from Calgary, Alberta, joins the Smoke Eaters from the Calgary Buffaloes U18 program. His standout season came in 2019/2020 with CBHA Rangers U18 team where he had 15 points in 21 games. “I am extremely excited to be joining the Trail Smoke Eaters. With my grandparents living in the Trail area, I know the team has a rich history and heavy presence in the community of which I look forward to being a part of.  With strong ownership and coaches, I believe the Smoke Eater organization is the best fit for me. I am eager to get to Trail, pull on that jersey and play in front of those incredible fans!” – Ethan Warrener
