Trail, British Columbia (May 4th, 2022) – Smoke Eaters captain Coalson Wolford commits to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for next season.
Wolford, from San Jose, California, has signed his commitment to play NCAA Division 3 hockey with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds, who play in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC). Wolford who was an assistant captain in his first year during the 2020-21 took another step in his role off the ice this season being named captain. Wolford hit the 100 BCHL games played mark this season, finishing his junior career with 114 games played while adding 64 points. Wolford played in all situations for the Smoke Eaters, whether it was 5-on-5, penalty kill or powerplay, he was key in all area’s for the Smoke Eaters this season.
