Trail, British Columbia (November 26, 2025) – The Trail Smoke Eaters are proud to announce that forward Ben Fragle has committed to join the team for the 2026–27 BCHL season.
Fragle, a Trail native, becomes the latest hometown product to suit up for the Smoke Eaters. Known for his grit and compete level, he brings a hard-nosed presence to the forward group and a style of play that aligns perfectly with the team’s identity.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join my hometown team next season,” said Fragle. “It’s an honour to represent the Smoke Eaters, and I’m excited to play in front of such great fans.”
Smoke Eaters General Manager and Head Coach Eric Thurston says the addition of Fragle strengthens the club’s depth and competitive edge up front.
“We are very excited to add Ben into the forward mix,” said Thurston. “He brings an edge to his game that we feel will be invaluable in our lineup. We’d like to thank Ben and his family for their commitment to the Smoke Eaters organization.”
The Smokies are excited to welcome Ben home and look forward to seeing him in orange and black next season.
