The Smoke Eaters leading scorer extended his point streak to four games with his goal on Friday night and also stretched his play of earning points in eight of his last nine contests. The University of New Hampshire commit has a pair of goals to go along with three assists for five points over that four-game span and sits as the BC Hockey League’s 25th top scorer.

Hayden Rowan also had his strong stretch of play continue on Friday night, scoring his fourth goal in his last six games. The Pemberville, Ohio native sits 3rd in team goal scoring this season with his 15 markers as well as leading the Smoke Eaters and ranking tied for 6th in the BCHL in power play goals with 9.

Trail will turn to newcomer Donovan Buskey tonight, who gets his second start in the BCHL at the Shaw Centre. The North Vancouver, BC native started his first game last Friday in Wenatchee and had a strong game against the Wild, despite the numbers not being where the 18-year-old would have liked to see them. Buskey held a 9-1 record in 11 games played with the Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League while also holding a 3.07 GAA and an .870 SV% before coming to Trail.

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks enter play with a 22-17-4-1 record to sit 4th in the Interior Division with help from their 3-2 victory over the Smoke Eaters last night at the Shaw Centre.
