Trail, British Columbia (March 30th, 2023) – The BCHL has announced today that Smoke Eaters forward Brady Hunter has been named one of the three finalists for the Bob Fenton Trophy.
Hunter, who has had a career year in his final season in the BCHL, putting up 62 points in 54 games. But more so he’s excelled as being a respected player across the league and officials. Hunter had just 14 penalty minutes all season long, the second lowest in the league. The Bob Fenton award is handed out to one player who has exhibited the fundamental aspects of sportsmanship while excelling at the game, as determined by a vote of the league’s coaches.
The other two league finalists are Jake Bongo from the Surrey Eagles and Josh Nadeau from the Penticton Vees.Â
The Smoke Eaters would like to congratulate Hunter on being named one of the three BCHL finalists. The winner of the Bon Fenton Trophy will be announced between the second and third round of the BCHL Playoffs.
