With two weeks left in the regular season, the Smoke Eaters make their final trip to Vernon to take on the Vipers as they look to build off their back to back wins last weekend

The Smoke Eaters roll into Kal Tire Place on the back of two much needed wins in their final two regular season home games of the season, picking up a 5-2 win over Coquitlam and a 6-3 win over the Eagles. While the Eagles came in short handed, they still showed throughout the game why they are a second place team in the costal conference and fourth league wide. The Smoke Eaters did well to combat their offence, in large part due to the play of Teagan Kendrick who returned to action and picked up both wins on the weekend. With four games left before round one of the BCHL playoffs begin, the Smoke Eaters are hoping to head into Vernon and come away with four points and keep their momentum going. Cobetto-Roy is coming off a BCHL third star of the week performance, pickup up five points over the two games, his linemates, Marshall and Mann both had honourable mentions for also having five point weekends.

The Vipers come into the weekend in sixth place in the Interior conference and hoping to keep their climb going amidst as three game win streak of their own. The Vipers also have four wins in their last five games as they now sit four points outside of third place, as they hope to secure a home ice advantage going into the post season. The Vipers snuck out a narrow 2-1 win over the Spruce Kings last Saturday, picking up their second win over Prince George in just over a week. The Vipers head out for two games on the road to end their regular season schedule with visits to Penticton and Merritt.
