Preview: Smoke Eaters look to bounce back against the Warriors

Coming off a hard fought loss on Friday night in Wenatchee the Smokies will look to build off their performance as they head up the Okanagan Valley for a game with the West Kelowna Warriors.

The Smoke Eaters will feel its only a matter of time before they get one to go their way after a strong showing on Friday, but having no puck luck once again. They’ll take on a West Kelowna team that is also coming off a loss on Friday as they fell 4-2 to the Merritt Centennials.

Regular season vs the Warriors

September 21st @ Royal LePage Place 6pm

October 25th @ Royal LePage Place 7pm

October 26th @ Cominco Arena 7pm

December 13th @ Cominco Arena 7pm

February 7th @ Cominco Arena 7pm

February 17th @ Royal LePage Place 2:30pm

Last season 3-1-2-0 vs West Kelowna

The Smoke Eaters will face a different team than the one it beat twice in the pre season with many of the regulars back in for West Kelowna. After falling 4-2 to the Centennials last night the Warriors will be looking to get home and get a win infront of their home fans. Also off to a sluggish start the Warriors dropped their first three games before winning a barn burner in Langley with an 8-5 win. Since then they’ve dropped a decision to Victoria and Merritt.

The Smokies will have a few lineup changes tonight as game management becomes huge for the coaching staff with still one more game to go this weekend against the Victoria Grizzlies.

Puck drop is at 6pm with the pre game show starting at 5:50 on HockeyTV and Mixlr.
