The Smoke Eaters will know that game four is there for the taking after a positive performance in game three that saw them come up short. Defensively neither team gave up a lot, but it was the Vees in the second period that were able to control the bouncing pucks and create opportunities from them, leading to their two goals. The Smoke Eaters had their chances in the third period, hitting two posts and having a handful of other opportunities to tie the game. Teddy Lagerback scored the Smoke Eaters lone goal on the night, as he’s added two goals in the last two games. Ethan Warrener continues to shine on the back end, after hitting the crossbar in the third he added another assist to his name, giving him three so far in this postseason.

Penticton held on in the third period, but also played a simple style, after conceding the first Smoke Eater goal it was mostly red line and out for the Vees, who weren’t taking any chances. While they did hang on for the win they also protected the lead well to see out the third period. Game three again showed not much separates these two teams. The Vees will know though that they’ll need to put forth another strong performance if they are to head back to Penticton for game five with a series lead.
