Kyle Star of the Trail Smoke Eaters has committed to the “College of St. Scholastica” in Duluth, MN. St. Scholastica Saints plays in the North Division of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA). The NCHA is a NCAA Division 3 association. Kyle split the 2015/16 between the Surrey Eagles and the Trail Smoke Eaters. In 13 games with Surrey he had 5 goals and 5 assists for 10 points. In 30 games with the Smoke Eaters he had 7 goals and 10 assists for 17 points.
Kyle commented, “It was always my dream to get a scholarship somewhere in the States. So I’m excited to join the team and compete at the NCAA level and also further my education.”
The Smoke Eaters wish Kyle the best of luck and thank him for his contribution to the Smoke Eater organization.
