Smoke Eaters Re-Acquire Hendry from Fort McMurray

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Smoke Eaters re-acquire Jordan Hendry from the AJHL

Trail, British Columbia (September 7th, 2020) – The Trail Smoke Eaters are excited to welcome back Jordan Hendry for the 2020/21 season after acquiring him through multiple trades.

The first trade of the day saw the Smoke Eaters send the CJHL playing rights of Max Kryski along with future considerations to the Notre Dame Jr Hounds of the SJHL for Ty Moismann. Kryski, who put up 26 points this past season in Trail, plans to move on from hockey and attend UBC this coming fall. The Smoke Eaters would like to thank Max for his contributions to the Smoke Eaters over the last two seasons and wish him the best of luck as he begins his post secondary career.

The second trade then saw the Smoke Eaters send Moismann to the Fort McMurray Oil Barons for Hendry and future considerations. Hendry, who is an ’02 born right shot defenceman, will be a big addition to the Smoke Eaters defensive core after many players graduated the program following the completion of the 2019/20 season. While Hendry only featured in 16 games for the Smoke Eaters last season, he showed a high level of compete and offensive potential.

“We believe the importance of Jordan’s return can’t be overlooked. With a high compete level and his offensive potential, he will immediately help our defence, considering the players we lost to graduation last year. We’re excited to welcome Jordan back the the Smoke Eaters” – GM & HC Tim Fragle

Again the Smoke Eaters would like to congratulate Max Kryski on his decision to attend UBC and welcome back Jordan Hendry.
