TRADE: Smoke Eaters make multiple moves – acquire Hemenway from SJHL

Smoke Eaters make two moves as they acquire Hemenway from the Notre Dame Hounds.

Trail, British Columbia (August 27th, 2020) – The Trail Smoke Eaters are please to welcome in ’02 defenceman Carson Hemenway whose rights were acquired from the Notre Dame Hounds of the SJHL for future considerations.

Hemenway, a native of Ladner, B.C. split last season between the Alberni Valley Bulldogs and the Penticton Vees. He played in 34 games this season adding eight points, all with Alberni Valley. Prior to the start of his BCHL career, Hemenway had 19 points in 39 games in Major Midget with the North Island Silvertips and another 39 points in 56 games while at the Delta Hockey Academy.

The Smoke Eaters are excited to welcome Carson Hemenway to the City of Trail and the Smoke Eaters family!

In a separate deal the Smoke Eaters have sent 2000 born defenceman Kyle Pow to the West Kelowna Warriors for future considerations. Pow featured in 21 games this year for the Smoke Eaters adding three points. The Smoke Eaters want to thank Pow for his contributions to the club this past season and wish him the best of luck in West Kelowna.
