Trail, British Columbia (November 27, 2025) – Smoke Eaters Commit Defenseman Logan Ybarra for 2026–27 Season.
The Trail Smoke Eaters are excited to announce that defenseman Logan Ybarra has committed to the team for the 2026–27 BCHL season, becoming the newest addition to the Smokies new recruits class.
Ybarra has been a priority target for the Smoke Eaters’ staff, who have tracked his development closely over the past few seasons. His combination of poise, mobility, and defensive reliability made him a standout fit for the organization’s future blue line.
“Logan is a player that has been on our radar for a while now, and we felt it was necessary to take the steps to commit to him early for next season,” said Smoke Eaters General Manager and Head Coach Eric Thurston. “He checked all the boxes we were looking for in a defenseman and he will be a nice addition to the back end. We’d like to thank Logan and his family for their commitment to the Trail Smoke Eaters organization.”
Ybarra says joining the Smokies is a milestone he’s thrilled to reach.
“I’m super honored and excited to sign with the Trail Smoke Eaters,” said Ybarra. “It’s a huge step for me and I can’t wait to be a Smokie. Thank you, Coach Eric!”
