Smoke Eaters Announce 2023-24 Leadership Group

Trail, British Columbia (September 20, 2023) – The Trail Smoke Eaters are pleased to announce this season’s leadership group. Ethan Warrener has been named team captian with Josh Schenk, Ethan Mann and Adam Parsons serving as assistant captians.

This group makes up players that have been in the BCHL for a combined 8 seasons and all these players are entering their third season in the league. Newly appointed team Captain, Ethan Warrener is entering his third season with the Smoke Eaters and hails from Calgary, Alberta. The defenceman has played in 82 games as a Smoke Eater, in which he posted 20 points over that span.

Assistant Captain, Josh Schenk has played with the Smoke Eaters the past two seasons and is heading into his third season. Josh is from Whitehorse, Yukon and has played in 104 games as a Smoke Eater. He has posted 41 points playing in Trail and is committed to Dartmouth College (NCAA).

Ethan Mann is entering his second season with Smoke Eaters and third season in the BCHL. Mann, from Fox Point, Wisconsin has played in 106 games in the BCHL with Trail & Penticton and won the BCHL Fred Page Cup Championship in 2021-22. Since joining the Smoke Eaters, Mann has produced 23 points in just 28 games.

Adam Parsons is entering his third season in Trail. The product of Port Moody, British Columbia has played in 103 BCHL games as a Smoke Eater, posting 37 points over the last two seasons. He also played U18 AAA in the area with the Kootenay Ice.

The Trail Smoke Eaters organization is excited for what is in store for the entire team this season and has absolute confidence in this leadership group.

The team kicks off the 2023-24 regular season with a double-header at Cominco Arena this weekend. On Friday, it’s the team’s Home Opener against their East Kootenay rival, the Cranbrook Bucks and Saturday they will face the West Kelowna Warriors.
