Smoke Eaters defenceman Diarmad DiMurro Commits to RIT.
Trail, British Columbia (November 1st, 2019) – The Trail Smoke Eaters are pleased to announce that defenceman Diarmad DiMurro has committed to the Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2020-21 season.
DiMurro, the Highland Mills, NY native has taken big steps this season and has quarter backed the Smoke Eaters power play to second in the BCHL. With 5 goals and 14 assists already this season, Dimurro is on pace for more than 50 points this season and is operating just under a point a game through the opening third of the season.
RIT has produced notable NHL defenceman for the Vancouver Canucks Christopher Tanev, who played there for the 2009-10 season before making the jump to the NHL.

DiMurro came to Trail last year from the NAHL and has played his way into his scholarship with RIT.
