COMMITMENT – TERNESS COMMITS TO UCONN

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Logan Terness Commits to UCONN

Trail, British Columbia (November 3rd, 2020) – The Trail Smoke Eaters are excited to announce that goaltender Logan Terness has committed to the University of Connecticut for the 2021/2022 season.

Terness, who made his mark in the BCHL last season, winning the league’s Rookie of the Year award as a 17-year-old, now has his NCAA future planned out. The Smokies standout netminder went 27-10 last year with 1 shutout, a 0.932 SV% and a 2.36 GAA, fourth best in the league while also playing the most games of any goalie. His regular season save percentage was also good enough to put him eighth in all time BCHL single season records. He followed that up with a 4-0 postseason record, a 0.970 SV% and a 0.73 GAA. The Burnaby, BC, native will join current Smoke Eaters Drew Elser and former Smokie Kale Howarth next season with the Huskies.

“The organization is excited for Logan and his family on his NCAA commitment to UCONN. He is very deserving of the opportunity and we look forward to helping him as he continues to develop his game here with the Smoke Eaters organization.” – HC&GM Tim Fragle.

The Smoke Eaters would like to congratulate Logan on this terrific achievement in his young career and look forward to watching him grow here in Trail and as he goes on to play NCAA Division 1 hockey.
