The Trail Smoke Eaters are sad to announce that former player, Casey Shade, has passed away at the age of 29. Casey played for the Smoke Eaters for three years from 2005/06 to 2007/08. In those three years Casey played 165 games accumulating 51 goals and 78 assists for 129 points. Casey went on to play for the NCAA’s Wentworth Leopard’s Men’s Hockey Team where in 106 games he had 39 goals and 79 assists for 118 points. Casey graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management in 2012.
