This time the Trail bus is bound for Penticton.
The Smoke Eaters take on the Interior Conference leading Vees, hoping to build on a solid effort last Sunday in Surrey, despite the 4-2 setback.
The Smokies continue to get balanced scoring throughout their lineup.
Ridge Dawson is the team leader in goals with 8 and is tied with Max Potvin for the points lead with 16.
Mathieu Cobetto-Roy broke out of a six game goalless run with a pair last Saturday in Chilliwack.
Penticton’s offense is paced in part by the MacPherson brothers. Ryan leads the team with 21 points, one more than Connor.
Callum Arnott also has 21 points, while James Fisher has pumped in a team leading 10 goals.
The Vees return home after Friday night’s 4-3 overtime loss in Cranbrook.
They battled back from deficits of 2-0 and 3-1 to force the tie-breaking period, which only lasted 1:38 as Donovan Frias scored for the Bucks to pull out the victory.
This is the Smokies fourth face-off against the defending champion Vees this season.
They split 4-3 overtime decisions in a home-and-home series just over a month ago. The Trail troupe no doubt remembers the 6-3 loss suffered at Cominco Arena on October 14th and are hoping to exact some revenge.
The puck will drop after the pre-game Remembrance Day ceremony. Opening face-off will be at about 6:10 p.m.
