The Smoke Eaters and Wild conclude their season series with their sixth game of the season set with Wenatchee winning three of the five meetings including a 6-2 final on Friday night at the Town Toyota Center. Chase Stevenson and Owen Ozar collected markers for the Smoke Eaters in the game while Donovan Buskey turned aside 33 of the 39 shots he faced in the game in his first start as a member of the Smoke Eater.

Smoke Eaters leading scorer Chase Stevenson has been one of the hotter members of the team coming into Saturday night’s action, collecting a point in six of his last seven games to pace Trail with 42 points on the season. The University of New Hampshire commit has scored three goals to go along with seven assists for ten points over that seven-game stretch while also taking the team lead in goals with his 17th of the season on Friday night.

A Smoke Eater forward has enjoyed his time south of the border and seeing an American opponent as Owen Ozar has seen his strongest offensive numbers over his games against the Wild. The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native has earned points in each of his four games against the Wild this season, sitting with 4 goals and 3 assists for 7 points in that span including 3 of his 4 goals coming south of the border.

Trail will look to 20-year-old netminder Adam Marcoux for tonight’s game as Donovan Buskey battled hard in his crease for 33 saves a night ago. The Calgary, Alberta native has seen a lot of the net so far this season, getting into a BCHL-leading 38 games played as well as playing the most minutes of any netminder in the league at 2187.

The Wenatchee Wild come into Saturday night’s game holding a 26-15-2-1 record to sit 3rd in the Interior Division after their 6-2 victory on Friday over the Smoke Eaters.
