Trail, British Columbia (May 16, 2024) – The Trail Smoke Eaters are thrilled to announce the signing of Carter Matthews (’06) for the 2024-25 season.
Matthews is a 6’1″, 180-pound left shot defenceman from Calgary, Alberta and played last season with the Camrose Kodiaks in the AJHL. In 52 games this past season, Carter scored 7 goals and added 17 assists for 24 points. Carter is committed to the RPI (NCAA) Division 1 hockey program.

Carter is dynamic and will be expected to play in many different situations. We look forward to helping in Carter’s overall development this upcoming season.”
