The Smoke Eaters will look to capitalize on some more of their created chances in game number two. The Smoke Eaters did a lot of things right in game one, they went 1/2 on the powerplay, 2/3 on the penalty kill. Despite a slow start, the Smoke Eaters battled back and were unfortunate to not tie the game at three. Adam Marshall got the teams first goal in the first period making it a 2-1 game. Then Ethan Mann hit on the powerplay 48 seconds into the second period. The next 7 minutes the Smoke Eaters were all over the Vees and had many chances that they failed to capitalize on. Had the game been 3-3 and they point it could have seen the game finish differently. The Vees would run away with the game in the third.
The Vees and Bradley Nadeau came as advertised in game one. Bradley had four goals for the Vees with three helpers from his brother Josh. The Vees also capitalized in tight around the Smoke Eaters net on their chances which proved to be the difference. The other noticeable difference was the physical effort that the Vees came with and matched all night long. The Vees aren’t know for their physicality but brough it in game one.
