
Skill Development hockey camp led by highly experienced Trail native and NHL Calgary Flames Player Development Coach, Darren Rommerdahl.
Darren was the Smoke Eaters captain between 1990-1992. He went on to play college hockey at SAIT, became a Certified Hockey Canada Skills Instructor and is currently working with the Calgary Flames as their Player Development Coach.
His coaching highlights include: winning league championships in AA Midget for the Wheatland Chiefs, 2 National College championships with the SAIT Trojans and a Provincial Championship, Regional Championship and a National Championship appearance with the Calgary Buffaloes.
The program is the optimum training platform for aspiring hockey players, willing to do whatever it takes to advance their game to new levels. This program will be challenging and rewarding with a focused atmosphere. The program will work players through puck handling, puck protection, deception, edge control, checking, angling, offensive tactics, defensive tactics, individual tactics, shooting, net-front offense & defense, game-ready drills, read & react skills, tactics, drills, position-specific skills/drills for Forwards & D, hockey smart drills.
