Joshua Lambramboise led the Smokies with two goals to defeat the Nanaimo Clippers 2-1 in overtime in Nanaimo.  The Smokies gained a much needed 2 points to pull within 3 points of fourth place West Kelowna Warriors in the Interior Division.

“Winning tonight was important to kick start our road trip after a tough loss against Merritt.  Zach Dyment made some huge saves at crucial times which gave Josh Laframboise the opportunity to play hero,”  quoted Cam Keith, Coach/GM of the Smokies.

After playing to a scoreless first period Josua Laframboise scored his first goal of the game in the second period at 14:01 on a feed from Kale Howarth.  It remained 1-0 for the Smokies until 15:16 of the third period when the Clipper’s Ben Solin scored to tie the game.

Joshua Lamframboise scored his second goal of the game and the winner at 3:11 of the first overtime period when he skated down the left side and beat Austin Roden from the top of the faceoff circle.  The goal was unassisted.
