BCHL Releases 2022-23 Schedule

For Immediate Release 

Trail, British Columbia (June 9th, 2022) – The BCHL has announced 52 of the 54 game schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 season with the two BCHL Showcase games to be released at a later date.

The schedule will see the Smoke Eaters open the season in Penticton on Friday, September 23rd, one week later will be our home opener against the Cranbrook Bucks on September 30th. 

The schedule also see’s the return of out of conference competition, something that was suspended half way through last season due to road closures and flooding in the lower mainland. This year the Smoke Eaters schedule has two separate extended home stands, featuring 8 different teams! 

The other highlights of our schedule is the limited weeknight games. This season we’ll have 13 Friday home games, 11 Saturday games, 1 Wednesday night game and 1 Sunday home game.

Season Begins – September 23rd @ Penticton

Home Opener – September 30th vs. Cranbrook

Six game homestand in October against Wenatchee, West Kelowna, Salmon Arm, Cranbrook, Powell River and Merritt.

Three game island trip November 4th-6th with stops in Alberni Valley, Cowichan and Victoria on Sunday afternoon

Five game homestand in November against Penticton, Salmon Arm, Prince George, Merritt and Wenatchee.

Final home game Saturday March 11th vs. Surrey.

Final Regular Season game Saturday March 23rd @ Wenatchee.

BCHL Playoffs begin March 31st.
