Trail, British Columbia (February 19th, 2025) – The Trail Smoke Eaters are proud to announce that forward Zach Coutu (’05) has committed to the University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolves (NCAA).
Coutu, from Edmonton, Alberta joined the Smoke Eaters in late December from the AJHL. Zach has played in 12 games for the Smoke Eaters and has posted 16 points.
“We are excited for Zach on his opportunity with UAA. He performance since joining the team has helped earn him this scholarship. Zach has made a seamless transition to our team, fitting in with our group instantly. He brings a good mixture of size and speed, along with a strong compete level.
