Smoke Eaters Captain Philippe Lapointe to play Friday in West Kelowna
Trail, British Columbia (October 24th, 2019) – The Trail Smoke Eaters are extremely excited to announce that Smoke Eaters captain Philippe Lapointe, will return from injury, and make his BCHL Friday in West Kelowna when the Smoke Eaters take on the Warriors.
Lapointe who featured in just the one pre-season game for the Smoke Eaters against the Grand Prairie Storm, has been itching to get back for weeks as he continued his rehab. He’ll now make his debut on Friday against West Kelowna, before making his home debut on Saturday.
Lapointe had 11 goals and 28 assists for 29 points in the USHL last season. He made an immediate impact in the preseason with this perfect cross seem pass to Colby Elmer on the powerplay.
Smokies fans can look forward to seeing more of that as well as a few goals of his own starting on Friday.
