The Smoke Eaters (2-5-1) will look to keep things going after two big wins last weekend over West Kelowna and Victoria, while the Spruce Kings (3-3-2) are coming off a big 8-2 win Friday night at home against Alberni Valley.

October 5th @ South Okanagan Event Centre 1pm (BCHL Showcase)

January 29th @ Cominco Arena 7pm

The Smoke Eaters will look to build off two dominant performances from last weekend as they topped the Warriors 5-1 and the Grizzlies 6-2 each game showing the Smoke Eaters are starting to settle into their own. Saturday in West Kelowna it was the power play that got things done going 4/6. While Sunday it was the determination to show the home fans a good time scoring three goals in the opening five minutes of the first period. Both performances were backed by strong goaltending as Logan Terness picked up his first BCHL win and Donovan Buskey grabbed his first of the year. Both games were also dominated by Smokies assistant captain Kent Johnson who was named BCHL player of the week with his eight points in the two Smoke Eaters wins. Smoke Eaters fans could also get their first looks at newly signed Jameson Murray who could feature tonight for Trail.

The Smoke Eaters will also look to break a five year drought in Prince George as their last five visits have ended in defeat. The Smokies last won in September of 2013 with a 4-2 win over the Spruce Kings.
