Trail, British Columbia (May 7, 2026) — The Trail Smoke Eaters are pleased to announce the signing of forward Max Schaller for the 2026/27 BCHL season.
Schaller joins the Smoke Eaters organization as a skilled forward who brings strong offensive instincts and a high compete level to the lineup. The organization is excited to add another young player with upside as the team continues building toward the upcoming season.
“I’m really looking forward to playing there and discovering Trail and its amazing hockey history,” said Schaller. “I’ve heard great things about the organization and the community, and I’m excited for the opportunity to be a Smoke Eater.”
Trail Smoke Eaters General Manager & Head Coach Eric Thurston says Schaller’s skillset and work ethic make him a strong addition to the roster.
“Max is a player we’re excited to add to our group for next season,” said Thurston. “He competes hard every shift, has the ability to create offense, and we believe he has a lot of potential to continue developing in our program. We’re looking forward to welcoming Max and his family to Trail.”
