Smoke Eaters sign Golden Gopher Commit Charlie Strobel
Trail, British Columbia (October 14th, 2021) – The Trail Smoke Eaters are excited to announce the signing of University of Minnesota commit Charlie Strobel for this season.
Strobel, a 20-year-old, left shot centre from Stillwater, Minnesota, played last year with the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL, where he played with current Smoke Eater Teddy Lagerback and alumnus Owen Ozar. Prior to joining the USHL, Strobel was a standout at Hill-Murray High school in the USHS-MN league where he had 82 points in 64 games, while also captaining the team his final year. Strobel is committed to the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers, a NCAA Div. 1 Big 10 school.
Strobel will join the time this weekend and may be available as early as Friday for the Smoke Eaters.
