Smoke Eater’s, Luke Santerno, has committed to NCAA’s Division 1 Bentley University for the 2017-18 season. With the Smoke Eater’s this season Santerno has 22 goals and 20 assists for 42 points and sits in third place in league scoring just 2 points behind the league leaders with 44 points. Santerno has 20 points in his last 20 games. At Bentley, Santerno will be joining a Falcons program that competes in the NCAA’s Atlantic Hockey Association. Bentley has recruited heavily from the BCHL in recent seasons including former Smoke Eater Jake Kauppila.
The Smoke Eater organization extend their congratulations to Luke’s commitment to Bentley and are looking for a strong finish for the Smithers BC native while in a Smokie’s uniform this season.
