Trail Smoke Eater goaltender Bailey MacBurnie has been named the BCHL player of the week ending November, 8, the league announced Monday.
MacBurnie backstopped the Smokies to wins in both games last week and was a game star in each contest. The product of Beverley, Massachusetts stopped 47 shots and took 2nd star in a 6-1 Trail victory over visiting Nanaimo Clippers and turned aside 34 shots the next night for 1st star on the road as Trail downed Merritt 3-2.
Over the two games MacBurnie had a .964 save percentage to go along with a 1.50 goals-against average.
